Short and sweet today. There are 2 important things you need to know this week.

1. On March 31 both the Summer Mini & Sale-a-bration end. That means that you have just 2 days left to place your order with me for Summer Mini items, and redeem FREE stamps for every $100 on product you spend. Not sure what to get? Check out my suggestions here.

2. On March 31 at 9pm we'll be launching another blog hop (see the blinky thing in the column to the right?) - showcasing items from the new Autumn/Winter Catalogue. The blog hop will take you to 14 blogs from the Stampers Anonymous team + a guest blogger. The catalogue goes live from 1 April and we want to take this opportunity to inspire you and show you all the new projects you can make it. So remember to check back here then.

Have a great day :-)

Butterflies, butterflies everywhere

Happy Monday everyone.

Just a short post to remind you that my favourite butterfly print stamp set and punch are disappearing in 2 more days! That's right on March 31 the Summer mini & sale-a-bration finish and you won't be able to order these any more. The good news is that on 1 April I'll have an exciting new catalogue to show you.

Here's a thank you card I made quite some time ago using the butterfly prints stamps set and punch. I love easel cards. They not only look fantastic, but can be placed on a desk or shelf to be admired by all. Hope you like it.

Materials:
Cardstock: Ruby Red, Whisper White, Black
Ink: Black
Stamps: Butterfly prints, Vintage Labels
Paper: Bella Rose
Punches: Butterfly punch, Wide Oval

Saturday class

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you're all as excited me about the weekend being here.

Just a short note today to show you 4 of the cards we'll be making at next week's Stamp-a-Stack class. I still have 3 seats left if you want to join. For more details click here. We made these last night as part of a private class that I did - and the customizations the ladies came up with were stunning!!

I used my favourite colours for these cards - Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, Kiwi Kiss and Ruby Red. Sometimes you just have to fall back to your first loves ;-)

If you love the little butterfly's in these cards don't forget that your opportunity to own that stamp set and punch is running out. They are part of the Summer Mini and will disappear on March 31. Let me know if you want to place an order so you have them forever.

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend.

Thanks for stopping by.

Wrap up of the weekend

On Sunday I held my first ever open house - Champagne, Cupcakes and Craft. The lovely ladies who came over were motivated for different reasons - largely the champagne I expect ;-) We had a lovely time doing make-and-takes, while my wonderful hubby refilled our champagne glasses and kept giving us cupcakes. (He's a keeper!!)

Today I wanted to share the make-and-takes with you. We made these two cards. I wanted to keep them simple as some of the ladies attending had never made cards or done any sort of craft before. Of course they were naturals at it and we already customising their cards from their first stamp!

We used some of my favourite things - the Butterfly Prints stamp set, the Butterfly punch and of course Bella Rose papers :-) I love coordinating stamps and punches. They make it so easy to make projects - especially if you're short of time - and they look amazing. The butterfly punch has become one of my favourites as I've been able to use it on so many pr…

Sneak peek at next class

Hope you're having a good day. I love Wednesdays as it means it's a good down hill run to the weekend and some time off to get creative ;-) Not that that's all I think about... I'm also looking forward to some time chilling out with hubby and a glass wine on the weekend.

This is only going to be a short post today - just to whet your appetite. My next class is scheduled for Saturday 3 April and it's a stamp-a-stack. Stamp-a-stacks are a great introduction to craft and stamping. For $20 you make and take 8 cards (that's $2.50 a card) and get to use all my products, learn new techniques and indulge in a cupcake or two around my craft table. If you've never done stamping before or craft you're not alone. Many of my customers had never even picked up a glue stick before coming to their first class. It's easy and you'll be amazed at what you are capable of. If you're interested I still have some places available. Email me at info@sall…

Sweet treats.

Hands up all those people who like sweets!!! Me me me. I LOVE chocolate, and I LOVE jellybeans. My latest love thought combines two of my favourite things - sweets and craft. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the sweet treat cups Stampin' Up makes. The are adorable and allow you to give a small gift away in your card. Oh and every recipient thinks your a genius for making it yourself. And really what girl doesn't want to be admired and appreciated for her talents ;-)

I want to let you in on a little secret. They aren't as hard as they look. Just don't try making your first card after midnight and you'll be fine (you don't want to know what a mess I got in to...)

Here's a cute little one I whipped up on the weekend. Using my favourite colours of course - Kiwi Kiss and Ruby Red - with a little Bella Rose thrown in for good measure.

What do you think? Would you like to get this in the mail rather than some bills?

Materials:
Cardstock: Kiwi Kiss, Pink Pirrouette, Whisper …

Back to nature

Hope you all had a fabulous weekend. Mine was full of craft - a class on Saturday, followed by my first open house yesterday. I had a fantastic time sharing my passion for papercraft with some new people while munching on cupcakes and sipping champagne - so for me the weekend was perfect :-)

On Saturday I actually got so crafty I worked out all my projects and stamp-a-stacks for April and May. I can't wait to show them to you. Unfortunately as I was so busy getting creative I haven't had a chance to take any photos yet. That will be tonight's mission. It's no fun if I can't share what I've made with you all!

Today I want to share something I made a few weeks ago. I used one of the hostess sets from the catalogue - Organic Grace. It's a beautiful set with incredibly delicate detail. It's so fine when it stamps that it almost looks like printed paper - especially if you use an ink colour like Sahara Sand (a new favourite of mine). You can only get …

See you on the weekend

It's not too late.... to register for both my events this weekend. Tomorrow morning is the Easter Project class. Here's a sneak peak at what we'll be making...

For more details on the class click here. If you want to come along I have a few seats left at the table so email me at info@sallycancraft.com or sms/call 0412 631 658.

On Sunday I'm having an open house from 3pm - 5pm. There will be champagne, cupcake and craft - all for FREE. You'll be able to check out what I'll be making in my upcoming classes, create a fantastic make & take (or 2!), learn all about Stampin' Up - and why I love it, and receive a gift from me. Feel free to come for the whole time, or just drop in for a glass of champagne and a quick chat. For all the details click here. See you there.

Oh and just so I'm not repeating myself and not showing you something new - here's a quick project I whipped up last night. It's a twist on the traditional bookmark. I think it works …

Sale, Sale, Sale

Sale-A-Bration is still on and runs until March 31. It's a great time to take up a new hobby (paper craft of course) as for every $100 you spend on Stampin' Up! products you get a free stamp set. The stamp sets are amazing and very versatile. Today's card showcases stamps from two of the sets - Happy Moments and Vintage Labels. They go so well together.

I went with a simple theme of blue and white. to showcase the stamps and the lovely Bella Blue papers which go so well with the set Happy Moments.

Front of card:

Close up of the bird - I've highlighted him using Crystal Effects:
Inside the card I repeated the stamp to keep with the theme:
Materials:
Cardstock: Nearly Navy, Barely Blue, Whisper White
Ink: Barely Blue, Nearly Navy
Stamps: Happy Moments, Vintage Labels
Punches: Eyelet border
Paper: Bella Blue
Other: Journalling pen, Crystal Effects

Sale-A-Bration is ending soon (March 31), and this will be your only chance to get these great stamp sets. Email me at info@sallycanc…

Getting my mojo back

Last night was the first night I've had to get creative in about 10 days - and I've been in desperate need to get in to my craft desk for a while! I only had enough time to make 3 quick projects, but I think they all turned out well. I'm not going to show you them all today. You'll just have to visit my blog every day this week to see them :-)

To get my mojo back I had to go back to my favourite Bella Rose paper. I really love this pack. It must be my favourite colour combos ever. Never fear though - I used a different colour combo - not a bit of Kiwi Kiss in sight. I've never been much of a fan of polka dots in clothing, but I couldn't resist this jumbo combo. It's just so striking. Not much needed to make it pop. Just a bit of ribbon and a great big 3D flower and this card was done in about 10 minutes.

What do you think? I'm loving the flower myself - but that could be because its the first time I've done one. I've been seeing simila…

You're invited

Hi everyone,

I wish I has something inspiring to show you today, but having just returned home from a business trip I'm a little behind on my craft time. Never fear - I have time scheduled today to get some therapy in and will have some new projects to show you tomorrow.

Just a quick reminder about 2 exciting events this weekend. On Saturday morning is the Easter Project class. Here's a sneak peak at what we'll be making...

For more details on the class click here. If you want to come along I have a few seats left at the table so email me at info@sallycancraft.com

On Sunday I'm having an open house. This will be a free champagne, cupcake and craft open house containing all of the 3 c's just mentioned. You'll be able to check out what I'll be making in my upcoming classes, create a fantastic make & take, learn all about Stampin' Up - and why I love it, and receive a gift from me. For all the details click here. Hope to see you there.

Happy Birthday Chieko

I'm still in the US (but waiting for my plane) but I just had to show you this card I made last week. I made it for a very good friend's birthday. They had the party last night - so unfortunately I missed out. I did send hubby along though with a gift of Stampin' Up products and this card. (She loves crafting - and makes stunning cards).

Chieko I hope you had a fabulous birthday and a great night out. You deserve it!
