Here's a blast from the past with a cute little birdcage stamp set that I was absolutely obsessed with.

You can check out the whole post here.  I cannot believe how much I used both the stamp set and that designer series paper.  It's like my blog was one big chocolate and blue themed design.  I kind of wish I'd kept it... but then where would the room be for new stamps ;-)

Happy crafting

#tooeasy - thankful

Something super simple - one stamp, one bigshot bigz die, one thinlit.  Oh and some Designer Series Paper :-)
This one if pretty easy - layers and stamped background using one of my fav patterns - chevron.

Both the thinlit and designer series paper I've used in this project are now retired but you can still buy something similar that would work just as well.  My big tip for this one is if you're going to use a thinlit that thin then you definitely need an adhesive transfer sheet on the back of the card before you cut it.  You can use glue to stick it on, but frankly when it's that thin it's a pain and you get it everywhere - not a good look on your fingers or the card!  Also it's a little hard to see in the photos but there is faux stitching around the top layer of card.  This is easy to do - just get the white gel pen and using a ruler (or your eye if you have a steady enough hand) make short dashes (about 2mm) around the edge of the card.  Much easier than get…

I think I've mentioned this before - but I'm a sucker for things that are made to go together.  Not just with crafting either?  Throw me a look-book for a wardrobe and I just want to buy the whole outfit as styled - it's too easy ;-)
When it comes to crafting I'm a complete sucker for stamps that go with punches or thinlits.  It just makes everything you make look so damn good it would be pretty hard to stuff it up.  Not impossible - just pretty hard.  I used the Celebrate Today stamp set and Ballon Framelits die on this card.  I am going to be using this a lot as I've seen so many creative cards with it.

I used a lot of different products on this card, which might no be keeping with #tooeasytuesday but it was pretty easy to make.  If you didn't have the same supplies you could easily substitute with other punches or framelits for the sentiments.  I also used up some retired designer series paper for the background but you could create something similar using …

#tooeasytuesday - love is in the air

You know, when you craft you don't always get it right the first time.  Sometimes when you follow blogs you think other people are just so much better at crafting than you - that they always do things perfectly.  Well today I'm here to bust that myth.  There are lots of times when things don't quite work.  Projects end upon the scrap heap and never see the light of day.  Bloggers never share them because they think they don't work.  Well today I'm going to share with you a project that didn't work, and what I did to mix it up and change it to one that I'm happy with.

I wanted to make a heart themed card for valentine's day using a new stamp set I'd purchased - Groovy Love.  I fell in love with the tiger striped heart because - well tiger stripes!  Who doesn't love animal print. It's a neutral right?  I had this idea that I could make a repeated stamp layered card and add a few stamped cutouts to give texture.  Did I mention that I also want…

A blast from a quite distant past today.  My very first time participating in a blog hop!  Don't know what that is?  You can check out the original post here.

I was a bit ambitious back then and made a set of a gift card, easel card, gift bag - which also contained gift tags.

This was the set that got me hooked - and I mean hooked on Ruby Red & Kiwi Kiss.  All because I was completely addicted to the designer series paper - Bella Rose.  I think I make about a hundred cards using these colours... Ok maybe not a hundred but it felt like a very long time before I used any other colour combo!  I tend to get like that with craft.  I also made a lot of easel cards at that time - and I do mean a LOT!  Maybe it's time to revisit that.  Retro craft session anyone?  Anyone still got any Kiwi Kiss I can borrow ;-)

Another super simple card today.  2 stamps, one punch, some layers and a few embellishments.  I took advantage of sale-a-bration this month to stock up on my wish list of stamps and get some freebies.  (Here's a pro-tip - always keep a list of the items you want and stock up when they go on sale, or when sale-a-bration is on.  I always want more than I should get at any one time :-)

I've fallen in love with the colour Hello Honey.  I didn't think I'd like the In Colours for 2014-2016 but I've actually got a massive crush on this colour and have used all of them much more than expected.  I like that they've pushed me out of my comfort zone and have made me create images and cards I wouldn't have done before.  It's good to be challenged when you craft.
