Buttons galore

Happy Monday! Hope you all had a fabulous weekend. Mine was filled with sunshine, good food, good wine, friends, champagne and even some crafting time - woot! The card I'm going to show you isn't from my weekend's efforts. I still haven't taken photos of them yet! It's one of the many cards I had to make a week or so ago for the charity auction winners. I had to make 15 individual cards so I did have to break out lots of different colours. This card reminds me a little of Bella Rose phase because it incorporates my favourite colour combos - Ruby Red, Kiwi Kiss and Chocolate Chip - yummmm! I also added some extra sparkle using Crystal Effects - got to love it. (I know, I know I keep raving about it. Seriously though if you've not used it - you should!) I used the buttons die (from the Autumn/Winter mini) in my Big Shot for the first time on this card. I love this die. It means you never have to go searching for a coordinating button again - you

Congratulations

The pandemic has taught me many things this past year. It's taught me what's really important. It's taught me to focus on what really matters. It's taught me how truly generous and wonderful my friends are. And it's taught me that no matter the circumstances it's important to celebrate the little things and find joy in moments. Here's two cards I made to celebrate the small things using the Art Gallery stamp set. As I mentioned in my last post , this is a two-step stamp set which means you can uses colours to really bring depth to the flower images you stamp. In this case I've used coordinating colours of shades of blue, but you could use contrasting colours to really make a pop. For this card I used heat and stick powder to add some gilded leaf to the hero image to make it pop. Here's to celebrating the small moments that matter and making memories together. A little lace

I'm loving making my own background paper. Sometimes you want to use a specific colour combo and you just don't have Designer Series Paper that meets that requirement. The great thing about having a stamp set is that you can use multiple stamps from the set to make your own background - which is exactly what I did here with the A Little Lace stamp set. I used the retired Coastal Weave embossing folder to add some dimension to a vertical strip but you could use any folder. A few metallic pearls and some ribbon and this card was complete. It's a different colour palate than what I've been using recently but sometimes you need to break out of your comfort zone.
