Happiness

Happiness is sunshine filtered through leaves.  Happiness is the first flower opening up in spring.  Happiness is the smell of freshly cut grass in the cool of the evening.  Happiness is celebrating a good friends birthday by showering them with love, blessings, and kind words... ok and cake.  Cake always makes me happy.

Here's a little birthday card I made recently for the many birthdays I've been celebrating.  It was very simple and quick to make.  Thank you Stampin' Up! for making coordinating stamps, punches and ink!!!  But suitable for any age, or for males or females.  You could easily upstyle it if you have more time by punching holes in each pennant and threading through string or ribbon.  Or put some pearls or rhinestones in the centre of each punched flower.  Some coordinating DSP at the bottom would also make a nice contrast. Hmmm... what a shame I'm not at home or I think I'd go an make it right now.  Perhaps tomorrow.

Happy crafting.

Thank you

Today I'm grateful.  I'm grateful that the sun is shining.  I'm grateful that I'm married to a wonderful man.  I'm grateful that my life is full of good and wonderful things, and even when it isn't I have wonderful family and friends who surround me and strengthen me.  And today I'm grateful for you.  Thank you for supporting my blog.  Thank you for encouraging me.  Thank you for being patient when I don't post so frequently.  And thank you for stopping by.  It means a lot to me.

Make a wish

Last week it was my hubby's birthday.  We had several celebrations including a very special bottle of wine last night.  It seems like there are a lot of birthdays around June & July and I'm constantly making birthday cards for people.  Here's a really simple one I made recently that only took about 5 minutes to make.  I love that it was so quick and easy, but looks great.

The thing that made creating this card a dream is the coordinating punches.  After stamping multiple images of the candle I punched out the white card squares which fit perfectly inside the coordinating stamp punch.  It would be really easy to customize this card too by changing colours or the number of candles placed on the card. I think I'm going to also add some dazzling diamonds to the flame on the candles next time - just to give it a bit of bling.

If it's your birthday this month, I hope you have a wonderful day and celebrate in style with your loved ones.

Happy crafting.

Tea time

Following my last post on my few flavour of the month set 'Tea Shoppe' here's another card I made with tea cups galore.

I don't know about you but when it's chilly outside there is something very attractive about staying indoors, curling up with a cup of tea and a good book - in between crafting of course.

Ok now I'm off to make a cup of strawberry tea and dream up some more crafty projects.

Happy crafting.
