May your birthday be memorable - Timeless Tropical Stamp Set

In this season of COVID-19 we're all rethinking and relearning what it means to be and do community & relationship. Gatherings can't take place as they used to. There's restrictions on how far we can travel and who we can meet. It's challenging, but it's also an opportunity to create new norms that can keep us connected to each other and to the relationships that really matter. Celebrations may look a little different but there's no reason they can't be memorable.

Here's two cards I made to celebrate birthdays in this season. Both used the Timeless Tropical Stamp Set. In each case I also used 2 techniques - masking and repetition. For the first card I repeatedly stamped the pineapple in StazOn ink in Saddle Brown so that I could water colour them in using inks and a Water Painter

For the second card I repeatedly stamped the hibiscus flower, the frangipani and some leaves in StazOn Saddle Brown ink and then water coloured them in.

I love the effect that masking has. It makes these cards unique and looks like it's really hard to do, when actually it's very simple.

Hopefully the birthdays they are celebrating will be memorable because they are filled with love, joy and good health.

Happy crafting.
