I always struggle to throw scraps of craft materials away. I think there's something in me that says - if I just hang on to this... I'll find a use for it. It makes retirement lists a bit of a challenge for me as I often have to let go of things I love, or make the hard call to keep them. This year when I cleaned out my craft room at retirement time I was ruthless.... well almost. I gave away my retiring in colour ink pads and card stock to a craft room where people will use it as they learn. I put all my retired stamps and punches on ebay. And I kept the accessories - because who wants to really part with metal, buttons, and ribbon. See I was ruthless... kind of. This card is one card made almost entirely of retired product - well at least the stamps and punches. It makes me happy to know that they've already found new homes - where someone will love them and use them frequently.
The thing about retirement sales & letting things go, is that it creates more room for new things. While the retirement sales are over, you can still grab a bargain at the clearance rack (below). Tonight I'm planning on having a play with new stamps, new colours, and maybe new ideas. Can't wait to share the outcomes with you next week on the blog. Till then....
Happy crafting!
