Forever Blossoms CASE

Ok I'm going to let you in on a little secret today. I am not at all naturally crafty and creative. Card making is so far removed from what I do at work that it takes me some time to shift gears when I get time to craft. If I don't come to the craft table with an idea (I rarely do) I use the CASE process. CASE = Copy And Share Everything. I use catalogues and find things that inspire me - either the stamp set, the colours or the layout and I copy it as my first card to get my creative juices flowing.

This card is copied straight from the Annual Catalogue - page 69 in case you're interested. I basically copied almost everything on the page but added a few extra layers on my card to give it a bigger frame.

I used the Forever Blossoms stamp set and Cherry Blossom dies to stamp the images and die cut the flowers, leave and branches. I sponges some extra colour onto the edges of the flowers and leaves to give the images some depth and shade. I used a sentiment from the Ornate Thanks stamp set and a White Chalk marker to hand draw the dotted border.

So there you have it... my secret is out. I'm not naturally creative when I first sit at the table. I almost always use the catalogues or a card I've made previously as inspiration to get started. Honestly it's the easiest way and I almost always and happy with the results.

I hope this helps you get creative. Please feel free to copy anything you see on my blog and please share it with me. I love it when we inspire each other to create cards.

Happy crafting.

Sally
