Layered With Kindness Cling Stamp Set

It's another day where you get more than one card. I wanted to showcase the versatility of the Layered with Kindness Cling Stamp Set which is also retiring this month to make way for new products in the July catalogue. All 3 cards I made are in the same tones but very different.

For the first card I used the different stamps to create a full background image. I started with the leave in Soft Suede and then added the flowers in shades of Rich Razzleberry, Pretty Peacock and Rococco Rose. I also used copper embossing powder to heat emboss the sentiment and the Label me Lovely punch.

For the next two cards I used a technique called masking. I used an ordinary post it note and positioned it on the card where I would eventually stamp my sentiment. I then used the same colour combo and stamps to create the boarder images. When you remove the post it note it leaves a beautiful space to stamp your sentiment. An easy and quick technique that looks really effective. In both cases I head embossed the sentiment using copper powder.

I love how these turned out. I think it's both the colour combo and using a technique I haven't used for a while. The great thing about this technique is you can use it in so many ways and it's quick and easy.  Love that.

Here's hoping for a little more time to craft this weekend.
