Something for mum

Mother's day can be a bit of a challenge for me as my Mum lives in another state.  We can't always be up there visiting but I can share the love by sending cards or a little gift in the mail.  Last week I shared with you the tri-shutter card I made for my mum.  Well it's still sitting on my desk waiting to be sent.  Before you say what a terrible daughter I am let me just tell you she's on holidays for 6 weeks so I have a little time up my sleeve to make something special to go with it before I send it.

My mother-in-law however does live close by.  So I had no excuses about not having a card ready for dinner on Sunday night!  Luckily I was very inspired on Saturday and had a little time to whip this card up. I used my latest "toy" the Top Note Bigz Die.  I love how easy this is to use, but it's just so striking. A few layers of contrasting papers & card, a stamp, a punch and some ribbon - and voila - a card is created.

What do you think?  Did I do ok for my Mother-in-law?

Sally
