It's taught me what's really important. It's taught me to focus on what really matters. It's taught me how truly generous and wonderful my friends are. And it's taught me that no matter the circumstances it's important to celebrate the little things and find joy in moments. </p><p>Here's two cards I made to celebrate the small things using the <a href="https://www.stampinup.com.au/products/art-gallery-photopolymer-stamp-set-(english)?demoid=4003553" target="_blank">Art Gallery</a> stamp set. As I mentioned in my <a href="https://www.sallycancraft.com/2021/07/when-flowers-meet-art.html" target="_blank">last post</a>, this is a <a href="https://www.sallycancraft.com/search?q=two-step" target="_blank">two-step stamp set</a> which means you can uses colours to really bring depth to the flower images you stamp. In this case I've used coordinating colours of shades of blue, but you could use contrasting colours to really make a pop. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8Tr_5CbKliT77mzlxBGHdXmcX8e5tOzm1XomOzhL5zZttNK5p3ok9qHxoHl993a0s_KWIFsqp5NWrb9c_pm2rJrl4j97eXv5PNPbN_ZyqpH5s5ebboeHYN9bG1VP4gllj1-tIjQF3g5s/s3430/PXL_20210704_042351103.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2610" data-original-width="3430" height="487" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8Tr_5CbKliT77mzlxBGHdXmcX8e5tOzm1XomOzhL5zZttNK5p3ok9qHxoHl993a0s_KWIFsqp5NWrb9c_pm2rJrl4j97eXv5PNPbN_ZyqpH5s5ebboeHYN9bG1VP4gllj1-tIjQF3g5s/w640-h487/PXL_20210704_042351103.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvKiO7hdn8DLaLaHB0t_0OtlxA_g34elpKLE3SAO71mycS0DexfShxTnrdF9tV-Rcm6wTPLRq5ZHXh4xwfGN61drbSVr3a7U-o53Z2aWSAQsUSOl9kUtUMaJSD7bQ9OydgclzKHtDZMmU/s4032/PXL_20210704_042403378.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvKiO7hdn8DLaLaHB0t_0OtlxA_g34elpKLE3SAO71mycS0DexfShxTnrdF9tV-Rcm6wTPLRq5ZHXh4xwfGN61drbSVr3a7U-o53Z2aWSAQsUSOl9kUtUMaJSD7bQ9OydgclzKHtDZMmU/w640-h480/PXL_20210704_042403378.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div><br /></div>For this card I used <a href="https://www.stampinup.com.au/products/heat-stick-powder?demoid=4003553" target="_blank">heat and stick powder</a> to add some <a href="https://www.stampinup.com.au/products/gilded-leafing?demoid=4003553" target="_blank">gilded leaf</a> to the hero image to make it pop. <div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg05XgVODotpPq7jFGs6EUnfmld4It6z_D8XVPtZIzrTy6WxHt34hVhpiBH04_1thRzYMxFloZuaZN8QtTLCW0G4NiF2ugCjxUMAm1CL5jirnnajaqMXVhwf0Ci7BNLVFEZSDrQg2El9AY/s3506/PXL_20210704_042444272.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3506" data-original-width="3012" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg05XgVODotpPq7jFGs6EUnfmld4It6z_D8XVPtZIzrTy6WxHt34hVhpiBH04_1thRzYMxFloZuaZN8QtTLCW0G4NiF2ugCjxUMAm1CL5jirnnajaqMXVhwf0Ci7BNLVFEZSDrQg2El9AY/w550-h640/PXL_20210704_042444272.jpg" width="550" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiq_CNXei1blz2tVA0SX03dZbqOPjZiCDFkHOCQYnY6p-_cNLMzuvvWodMiW1Vd3pj6dF1eU3zPS0TZWXeMYpSS-tK4wa1KXF5hRc77wl6hE28A4TuRxSeoRwm3dzsgJsyTNUD44giC8QA/s4032/PXL_20210704_042502196.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiq_CNXei1blz2tVA0SX03dZbqOPjZiCDFkHOCQYnY6p-_cNLMzuvvWodMiW1Vd3pj6dF1eU3zPS0TZWXeMYpSS-tK4wa1KXF5hRc77wl6hE28A4TuRxSeoRwm3dzsgJsyTNUD44giC8QA/w640-h480/PXL_20210704_042502196.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><p>Here's to celebrating the small moments that matter and making memories together. </p><p>If you want to get started on a new hobby or restart your passion for card making there's no better time. I don't often think about art galleries but the name of this stamp set <i><a href="https://www.stampinup.com.au/products/art-gallery-photopolymer-stamp-set-(english)?demoid=4003553" target="_blank">Art Gallery</a> </i>got me thinking about when I could travel and the types of art that I'm drawn to and Monet's paintings are certainly a stand out. </p><p>For this card I used the <a href="https://www.stampinup.com.au/products/art-gallery-photopolymer-stamp-set-(english)?demoid=4003553" target="_blank">Art Gallery</a> Stamp set which is a <a href="https://www.sallycancraft.com/search?q=two-step" target="_blank">two-step stamp set</a> and for some of the second steps used <a href="https://www.stampinup.com.au/products/heat-stick-powder?demoid=4003553" target="_blank">heat and stick powder</a> with <a href="https://www.stampinup.com.au/products/gilded-leafing?demoid=4003553" target="_blank">gilded leafing</a> to give it both a textural feel and some bling. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg71SCuMNSf_aW0_56OywM_0aw8xq16Ba3pGgp5hW4Lch93EWcjuQGOSVEyu1S2VnAnjm52DV3WKR-QZSkfN3n08JCYIM0jzsiGRKdywSAmmcwO_wguZSP6qn4JYAoR0PPAEx-sZ5M4pxI/s4032/PXL_20210704_042324845.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg71SCuMNSf_aW0_56OywM_0aw8xq16Ba3pGgp5hW4Lch93EWcjuQGOSVEyu1S2VnAnjm52DV3WKR-QZSkfN3n08JCYIM0jzsiGRKdywSAmmcwO_wguZSP6qn4JYAoR0PPAEx-sZ5M4pxI/s16000/PXL_20210704_042324845.jpg" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVRQRmDgV7kvOFkt7w7JV4acw-tiIzevd29DyZsHMbGmV6Wfx90EUYqzWCRKjyG6-WxXy3o6fjY4tViKY17YuzNj6dFpT8cj4eoib31qqvEsXp_wrTG-xSxWJVrbEOd1JrEeHquS_kKN0/s3180/PXL_20210704_042239923.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3180" data-original-width="2854" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVRQRmDgV7kvOFkt7w7JV4acw-tiIzevd29DyZsHMbGmV6Wfx90EUYqzWCRKjyG6-WxXy3o6fjY4tViKY17YuzNj6dFpT8cj4eoib31qqvEsXp_wrTG-xSxWJVrbEOd1JrEeHquS_kKN0/s16000/PXL_20210704_042239923.jpg" /></a></div><br /><p>It takes a bit more time to do the gilding but it's a very different effect to heat embossing and works really well when there is a large amount of stamped area to guild. It's almost perfect for two-step stamping to give it a bit of a lift. </p><p>If you want to find all the tools, get more inspiration and get two-step stamping you can find all the resources you need <a href="https://www.stampinup.com.au?demoid=4003553" target="_blank">online here</a>. </p><p>Happy crafting.</p><p>Sally</p>Sallyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01759842857263913785noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3500618514326420501.post-54556771102455127982021-06-23T17:38:00.000+10:002021-06-23T17:38:03.821+10:00Blossoms in Bloom<p>No matter how cold or rainy it gets flowers always brighten the day and put a smile on people's faces. here's a simple card I made with the <a href="https://www.stampinup.com.au/products/blossoms-in-bloom-bundle-english?demoid=4003553" target="_blank">Blossoms in Bloom Bundle</a>. For some Christmas will be a time of joy with family and loved ones, for others a much more solitary occasion. For me it will be a Christmas spent finding joy in the small moments as I'm half way through 14 days isolation due to exposure to someone with a positive COVID test. That means isolation from family. Staying indoors. Separating from my husband in the same household. I'm not glum though. I'm choosing to spend the time reading, reflecting and being still. Something I rarely do. I did want to share with you a few cards I made for Christmas this year. I didn't do too many - but I did enjoy making these.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDXaWWKAoTZKcDjcnnDQgbE0Xgbc39gJKs4MXcT7ZwFDkC27iDCyktDxpIfL8T5QpHQ9pA46bKU18U3GMMSIxzM3AceO7L67ZJs4eHFY4m9hzHMMx9-rMs0volwXImzD6LC2kLik8R_TE/s4032/PXL_20201224_062426902.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; We've been sheltering in place, physical distancing and doing everything we can to stay safe, well and see this pandemic come to an end. For many of us - myself included - this has meant spending a year far away from family and friends. Even though we are far apart, this year has been the year to go deeper with relationships and really cherish what matters - the conversations we can have and the memories we share. Here's a little COVID card I made to send to someone far away to let them know that they are and always will be in my heart.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1xX0WrZgwxhOhKw3tR7hvhIx2DdS2w1LJZiNVBUOEv1ksIKYRvdF9gbLowrmVN0Ln8AGFE1MDZkdEj8feY7JTf2U83GtpaNpOYMgAGFodB5liRJBKx-6_bOOiiAKZP0c-lSFOhMtrT0I/s3855/IMG_20200816_132841.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2576" data-original-width="3855" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1xX0WrZgwxhOhKw3tR7hvhIx2DdS2w1LJZiNVBUOEv1ksIKYRvdF9gbLowrmVN0Ln8AGFE1MDZkdEj8feY7JTf2U83GtpaNpOYMgAGFodB5liRJBKx-6_bOOiiAKZP0c-lSFOhMtrT0I/s16000/IMG_20200816_132841.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I stamp and heat embossed two of the panels using copper embossing powder and the <a href="https://www.stampinup.com.au/products/lovely-you-cling-stamp-set-(en)?demoid=4003553" target="_blank">Lovely You stamp set.</a> The middle panel I stamped with a few different coloured inks. The leaves I layered on top are from the <a href="https://www.stampinup.com.au/products/forever-flourishing-dies?demoid=4003553" target="_blank">Forever Flourishing dies</a>. I used the <a href="https://www.stampinup.com.au/products/lovely-labels-pick-a-punch?demoid=4003553" target="_blank">Lovely Labels punch</a> to create my layered label for my sentiment. </div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiF5zVYuVgLlafQxlEJ5gAKoTM9dQd3VA0xh2BAqCJx7ST3FtQgcZRRxtiM6JjrYs6K3zrOsNLjt-u2gaQNAZ1fTa8a9wFrd6Zx-sTLDgHvRVaj59lNcNRV9-WdSj1bwlNgEUx7mXJzCtM/s2912/IMG_20200816_132818.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2185" data-original-width="2912" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiF5zVYuVgLlafQxlEJ5gAKoTM9dQd3VA0xh2BAqCJx7ST3FtQgcZRRxtiM6JjrYs6K3zrOsNLjt-u2gaQNAZ1fTa8a9wFrd6Zx-sTLDgHvRVaj59lNcNRV9-WdSj1bwlNgEUx7mXJzCtM/s16000/IMG_20200816_132818.jpg" /></a></div><div><br /></div>I actually bought the Lovely You stamp set and Lovely Labels as <a href="https://www.stampinup.com.au/products/lovely-you-bundle-(english)?demoid=4003553" target="_blank">a bundle</a> (it's cheaper) as it goes really well with all the sentiments in the stamp set and makes it super easy to make a really great sentiment pop. I cannot cut straight or do curves well so punches and dies are my go to. <div><br /></div><div>As much as 2020 has been a hard year I think there are some things I'm really grateful for and that I want to carry over into 2021. I've had a chance to connect with people in a deeper way - which I have loved. I've been able to carve out time to craft - which has been therapy - and I need more. And I've been able to share my creations with others to give them cards they can send to their loved ones. I really hope to do more of this in 2021. I've also had time to blog in my little part of the internet and share my card making again. I have to say it's been nice to be able to join back in to a creative community and I'm thankful for all those around me who share the love of making and giving. I hope we can inspire each other do continue creating and giving in 2021 and spread a little joy and hope to all those around us.</div><div><br /></div><div>Happy crafting.</div><div><br /></div><div>Sally</div><div><p><br /></p></div>Sallyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01759842857263913785noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3500618514326420501.post-13251218470061963772020-10-11T08:30:00.001+11:002020-10-11T08:30:01.387+11:00A little lace <p> I'm loving making my own background paper. Sometimes you want to use a specific colour combo and you just don't have Designer Series Paper that meets that requirement. The great thing about having a stamp set is that you can use multiple stamps from the set to make your own background - which is exactly what I did here with the <a href="https://www.stampinup.com.au/products/a-little-lace-cling-stamp-set-(en)?demoid=4003553" target="_blank">A Little Lace</a> stamp set. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEij8weeckCZP5eSMByXXD7FnILXhibNND4JuKybaEeiVuCydtDLqvYjU5yBshrfQNnh0nW37LhBnlJ_l8_TrsVj478Ppy7I6_xOazBM5GcEJQcm52-HPh_iu8RrX_8yKF1jIXwV_dMM_Z8/s3024/IMG_20200815_113837.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2463" data-original-width="3024" height="521" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEij8weeckCZP5eSMByXXD7FnILXhibNND4JuKybaEeiVuCydtDLqvYjU5yBshrfQNnh0nW37LhBnlJ_l8_TrsVj478Ppy7I6_xOazBM5GcEJQcm52-HPh_iu8RrX_8yKF1jIXwV_dMM_Z8/w640-h521/IMG_20200815_113837.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I used the retired Coastal Weave embossing folder to add some dimension to a vertical strip but you could use any folder. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWS3awb0kNrVqax5Ol1NzbM10abMcYkwgvrRvQWIH-boRkuLpn_mnpfxf2TYdvs6qeG4jRMRmjNUuv9wthhrLT5Y4J3SdyrRYiaTXFMnfqU7rQqrLLEsA9rD0P5r5qaMnqr8fSmY2J9Po/s3263/IMG_20200815_113810.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2310" data-original-width="3263" height="454" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiWS3awb0kNrVqax5Ol1NzbM10abMcYkwgvrRvQWIH-boRkuLpn_mnpfxf2TYdvs6qeG4jRMRmjNUuv9wthhrLT5Y4J3SdyrRYiaTXFMnfqU7rQqrLLEsA9rD0P5r5qaMnqr8fSmY2J9Po/w640-h454/IMG_20200815_113810.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">A few <a href="https://www.stampinup.com.au/products/metallic-pearls?demoid=4003553" target="_blank">metallic pearls</a> and some ribbon and this card was complete. I am not at all naturally crafty and creative. Card making is so far removed from what I do at work that it takes me some time to shift gears when I get time to craft. If I don't come to the craft table with an idea (I rarely do) I use the CASE process. CASE = Copy And Share Everything. I use catalogues and find things that inspire me - either the stamp set, the colours or the layout and I copy it as my first card to get my creative juices flowing.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3QEiQHrYGIXALZCIBEfLh87AkHB3EX9z57rbU0_dnG2oxCs1W6pcM78ux9I6QPhh-NnyMEARmYvJ82TmX-dqgshDDBpn82uEO6jVQHDTPOtRpUmG3eGHbLUlDtK93_YEZ9demNc48oXU/s3024/IMG_20200815_113736.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1947" data-original-width="3024" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3QEiQHrYGIXALZCIBEfLh87AkHB3EX9z57rbU0_dnG2oxCs1W6pcM78ux9I6QPhh-NnyMEARmYvJ82TmX-dqgshDDBpn82uEO6jVQHDTPOtRpUmG3eGHbLUlDtK93_YEZ9demNc48oXU/s16000/IMG_20200815_113736.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">This card is copied straight from the Annual Catalogue - page 69 in case you're interested. I used a sentiment from the <a href="https://www.stampinup.com.au/products/ornate-thanks-photopolymer-stamp-set-(en)?demoid=4003553" target="_blank">Ornate Thanks</a> stamp set and a <a href="https://www.stampinup.com.au/products/white-stampin-chalk-marker?demoid=4003553" target="_blank">White Chalk marker</a> to hand draw the dotted border. </p><p>So there you have it... my secret is out. I'm not naturally creative when I first sit at the table. I almost always use the catalogues or a card I've made previously as inspiration to get started. Honestly it's the easiest way and I almost always and happy with the results. </p><p>I hope this helps you get creative. Please feel free to copy anything you see on my blog and please share it with me. I love it when we inspire each other to create cards.</p><p>Happy crafting.</p><p>Sally</p>Sallyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01759842857263913785noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3500618514326420501.post-29651381224051321232020-09-25T09:16:00.005+10:002020-09-25T09:18:38.314+10:00Beautiful friendships should be celebrated<p>Here's a card I made a few weeks ago. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8oCMz14Njmy1jweOLLmG7fvX84XuteKpDW_OZyfVbzgvwaFN8W2lZ_eEA0DvhToVjoE9WeqzUivm8VihE4Xpns1qeWc2oUQhLqdaQz_yYb1wPB3ybw7w165HDsmPzEJ-igdls_qgVBdU/s3024/IMG_20200815_113624.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1916" data-original-width="3024" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8oCMz14Njmy1jweOLLmG7fvX84XuteKpDW_OZyfVbzgvwaFN8W2lZ_eEA0DvhToVjoE9WeqzUivm8VihE4Xpns1qeWc2oUQhLqdaQz_yYb1wPB3ybw7w165HDsmPzEJ-igdls_qgVBdU/s16000/IMG_20200815_113624.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I used a leaf stamp from the <i><a href="https://www.stampinup.com.au/products/beautiful-friendship-photopolymer-stamp-set?demoid=4003553" target="_blank">Beautiful Friendship</a> </i>stamp set to do the background on the base card. It just gives it that beautiful rustic effect around the edges. I stamped all the images using StayzOn Saddle Brown ink and then water coloured the flowers and trees with a water painter. Add a few layers of card stock and this is a very simple card to make but one I think it quite beautiful. If you haven't trying masking it's a technique I'd really encourage you to give a go. It's easy and you can create a whole range of different effects. If you need some inspiration <a href="https://www.sallycancraft.com/search?q=masking" target="_blank">this should help</a>. Let me know in the comments if you give it a try. Gatherings can't take place as they used to. There's restrictions on how far we can travel and who we can meet. It's challenging, but it's also an opportunity to create new norms that can keep us connected to each other and to the relationships that really matter. Celebrations may look a little different but there's no reason they can't be memorable.</p><p>Here's two cards I made to celebrate birthdays in this season. Both used the Timeless Tropical Stamp Set. In each case I also used 2 techniques - <a href="https://www.sallycancraft.com/search/label/masking" target="_blank">masking</a> and <a href="https://www.sallycancraft.com/2013/01/techniquethursday.html" target="_blank">repetition</a>. For the first card I repeatedly stamped the pineapple in StazOn ink in Saddle Brown so that I could water colour them in using inks and a Water Painter</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiG1h6sZL5NNGbeOlwA44ih3j44vSim1epPhFpG7wnR_NGbeAn361e7qnPpCAEBPxzaFu9ilClgNfWSY0w-0vkKigEjR1AMHl0xJg3boTP5RqPhyphenhyphenzOF3YuHWInst27f-cUVwjuVL9PDdwo/s640/IMG_20200531_135433.jpg" width="640" /></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2917" data-original-width="3748" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgnpq68tF122_G22dUfC1HROwtlibfYckAUgWNKabEt0wEkvosKGTAAgAOKFyGzYMmXTvfL-bqtSd_EtGBm2Q_dwZn19_EfXCHAZjGJs13KJknFOr4C8XGZcC_NMNt1ZejjwerpTwIJphg/s640/IMG_20200531_135421.jpg" width="640" /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">For the second card I repeatedly stamped the hibiscus flower, the frangipani and some leaves in StazOn Saddle Brown ink and then water coloured them in.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3024" data-original-width="4032" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgOp38FDC4LB2dfWQtTb7Pn9es1ODEXObko915EEjyUpuv8WrPPKLGKjtltJD86S12sPoVonSCIzHVYNmkwzjs6HePk6oR1UjToVVayp8SNLlHQ8epBx_14io_N8HzPOQbPij5aoxQmWIQ/s640/IMG_20200531_135501.jpg" width="640" /></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2652" data-original-width="3634" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9yVy0EoozkFahMvaclj4b0SLHd2x5-kaG00dpu10X2vqOjMhiep2ANsTRBA3KE5Bby7CZzvdDtrFQRAxiH0edyj2bHiGsngbBrmjRM5DpESgH4rMvB8dNSuT_b4e16ZGxKjmpeLMPMjU/s640/IMG_20200531_135452.jpg" width="640" /></div><p>I love the effect that masking has. It's long so I hope you have a cup of coffee 😁<div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh7gww5WL3opBO9Lgdti1k2kl27Q2R53hBsL3JMw08T4M7ceaXU7tvjKfLDSwnvHEgAYG3hw-jVO0tYcBZ19yRyPnzo3EBY8tcBDGfkGskLhUXmDkajHXh174Wlt3r3DebT8iMtfOvJaso/s3013/IMG_20200419_152440.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; That's what I did with these cards. I had a few sheets of silver and gold foiled flower designer series paper that I wanted to personalise and make special. Here's how it turned out.<div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7bmGwmhMXdCCn1D_rPLAIS3XKsemdRvnDMOufw56EOxH-B0eQkP-hq9aBt89eV_odaaCfOZm1DAiFougMM3tLoXStxgWAc6JLzove-SF4U1FBV2MUNUL-MmqbxGv-rWZlnqiB7apKz40/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="flower card" border="0" data-original-height="2383" data-original-width="3024" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7bmGwmhMXdCCn1D_rPLAIS3XKsemdRvnDMOufw56EOxH-B0eQkP-hq9aBt89eV_odaaCfOZm1DAiFougMM3tLoXStxgWAc6JLzove-SF4U1FBV2MUNUL-MmqbxGv-rWZlnqiB7apKz40/d/IMG_20200517_152115.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">For this card I use my aqua blender and some ink to water colour the flowers and leaves with pinks and greens. Almost everything on this card is now retired but I love it. Don't throw scraps away - just find a way to combine them together to make something new and special.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtvdOrUeAWI-ICIMKY4vw_vcV4rldQO5Ti5ZyMfApB9jo6inClSXzpYq8jsrnWE6gXP_5MjHco-ZE_tbH4BsQeYMbjnFqZtsQb03FUIEZg-Is3sHRtGVOTSFJx7wJbxWLvDDUZy83IMnw/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="pocket full of happiness" border="0" data-original-height="2339" data-original-width="2982" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtvdOrUeAWI-ICIMKY4vw_vcV4rldQO5Ti5ZyMfApB9jo6inClSXzpYq8jsrnWE6gXP_5MjHco-ZE_tbH4BsQeYMbjnFqZtsQb03FUIEZg-Is3sHRtGVOTSFJx7wJbxWLvDDUZy83IMnw/d/IMG_20200517_152034.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">This card uses exactly the same paper but this time I used a brayer and ink to completely cover the card stock with one colour. It was my friends birthday recently and I thought it was the perfect time to revisit my love of creating 3D paper projects. <div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhz8s9_XjctQBU-Q3Jf2Vc1QL_iW4DOsQ2YWn5WDQpOrs85F1yR7cLleNhyb10_qLB_ZcRpQQhnK_RmShiNAmmFQB_wdzKiioNEtKKTSz5uywwvopZLxIgxZ72Pqdp8nKSVD3emfu0ZfKQ/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Handbag made from paper craft" border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhz8s9_XjctQBU-Q3Jf2Vc1QL_iW4DOsQ2YWn5WDQpOrs85F1yR7cLleNhyb10_qLB_ZcRpQQhnK_RmShiNAmmFQB_wdzKiioNEtKKTSz5uywwvopZLxIgxZ72Pqdp8nKSVD3emfu0ZfKQ/d/IMG_20200419_153203.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I wanted to give her the gift of cards as she's a natural encourager and loves writing notes to people to inspire, thank them and encourage them. It's really nice to be able to start doing some of my normal activities - running club, cocktails - but I really want to make sure I keep some of my craft time from this COVID-19 crisis. I've really noticed the benefit to my overall creativity in other areas of my life. And it's been really fun to share cards with more people and spread the joy. I recognise how fortunate I am to have been able to do this, and I am grateful that I've been able to share it with more people. I hope you've found some bright sparks in the midst of the challenges and an opportunity to spread and share joy and hope.</div><div><br /></div><div>Happy crafting.</div><div><br /></div><div>Sally </div><div><br /></div><div>PS - Sahara Sand Woven thread is also retiring and on sale right now too. <a href="https://s.tamp.in/nZh6LE" target="_blank">Get your hands on it</a> while it lasts. </div>Sallyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01759842857263913785noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3500618514326420501.post-71541582077577458352020-05-23T11:29:00.000+10:002020-05-23T11:29:57.870+10:00Layered With Kindness Cling Stamp SetIt's another day where you get more than one card. I wanted to showcase the versatility of the Layered with Kindness Cling Stamp Set which is also retiring this month to make way for new products in the July catalogue. All 3 cards I made are in the same tones but very different. <br /><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-JD5oVrSJFrEZkQyU4dtr2V0Vm_MZZG7krCzjtrghniiL7AY63mc8753PlTeCm2ea_rknLI4mCjU7jAHrsxHIVa3tWXs8J8ew_LjkQnJOyka7Cno-F3N9U1f8P_SzyNEXsM4w4rTmbQ4/" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Layered with Kindness stamp set; masking technique, heat emboss" border="0" data-original-height="2071" data-original-width="4032" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-JD5oVrSJFrEZkQyU4dtr2V0Vm_MZZG7krCzjtrghniiL7AY63mc8753PlTeCm2ea_rknLI4mCjU7jAHrsxHIVa3tWXs8J8ew_LjkQnJOyka7Cno-F3N9U1f8P_SzyNEXsM4w4rTmbQ4/d/IMG_20200517_151536.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">For the first card I used the different stamps to create a full background image. I started with the leave in Soft Suede and then added the flowers in shades of Rich Razzleberry, Pretty Peacock and Rococco Rose. I also used copper embossing powder to heat emboss the sentiment and the Label me Lovely punch. </div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgisv86ERN9UoVQgMoGxn2yRQvioAfr6KeC_wz-xU7WhGkX2nMN1dKUlLqfR_N1fUN6XHcS_WD3Smt5qg-qCsxtrcN1qFWrl58uSlDCDcehO-SVF137Y1JFud2Zf0IGavfbXPov3gTXVME/" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Layered with Kindness stamp set; masking technique, heat emboss" border="0" data-original-height="3508" data-original-width="2873" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgisv86ERN9UoVQgMoGxn2yRQvioAfr6KeC_wz-xU7WhGkX2nMN1dKUlLqfR_N1fUN6XHcS_WD3Smt5qg-qCsxtrcN1qFWrl58uSlDCDcehO-SVF137Y1JFud2Zf0IGavfbXPov3gTXVME/d/IMG_20200517_151427.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">For the next two cards I used a technique called <a href="https://www.sallycancraft.com/2013/01/techniquethursday-masking.html" target="_blank">masking</a>. I used an ordinary post it note and positioned it on the card where I would eventually stamp my sentiment. I then used the same colour combo and stamps to create the boarder images. When you remove the post it note it leaves a beautiful space to stamp your sentiment. An easy and quick technique that looks really effective. In both cases I head embossed the sentiment using copper powder. </div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqKUWtHwUP2kS-a6xRVkHqDvxXF86uHA9Js71WOKoPPePn_6awAaOM6IJFnCJNydQHU6rCS8UA-A9j14vgUdCxynUCc13CdkgdpoCcLEkVlJsDSJKOkyzrgnfRSFughgO4yD09ytUmdPg/" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Layered with Kindness stamp set; masking technique, heat emboss" border="0" data-original-height="2045" data-original-width="4032" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqKUWtHwUP2kS-a6xRVkHqDvxXF86uHA9Js71WOKoPPePn_6awAaOM6IJFnCJNydQHU6rCS8UA-A9j14vgUdCxynUCc13CdkgdpoCcLEkVlJsDSJKOkyzrgnfRSFughgO4yD09ytUmdPg/d/IMG_20200517_151401.jpg" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHlfKNYgh09AfAnEGmWlTQSx0P_R0Z9uhmqDFj94v2Xa5QzmAIY4rrxdC3-xNvmM_Nd23uTLqlNFcn8Rm4JzkAdGPkMe_rLbFqNDYbyY23CeeoyZiQbwRzexJgP-3248agBLFMTDjzfvc/" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Layered with Kindness stamp set; masking technique, heat emboss" border="0" data-original-height="3217" data-original-width="2542" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhHlfKNYgh09AfAnEGmWlTQSx0P_R0Z9uhmqDFj94v2Xa5QzmAIY4rrxdC3-xNvmM_Nd23uTLqlNFcn8Rm4JzkAdGPkMe_rLbFqNDYbyY23CeeoyZiQbwRzexJgP-3248agBLFMTDjzfvc/d/IMG_20200517_151321.jpg" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimUcoi4FwXkU5Vdt90uBOklj14XTRwQnka9RL3mGSQtZzAfCa06PTFZ2Oem6_6bIFbp4KbKmHJnIEA0rkuzRC2BHKkNQHVMJDN_qAIyDMgVCsN-nidcUvdkJ4UuNjeH8-Nqof5EH1rfWU/" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Layered with Kindness stamp set; masking technique, heat emboss" border="0" data-original-height="1843" data-original-width="4032" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimUcoi4FwXkU5Vdt90uBOklj14XTRwQnka9RL3mGSQtZzAfCa06PTFZ2Oem6_6bIFbp4KbKmHJnIEA0rkuzRC2BHKkNQHVMJDN_qAIyDMgVCsN-nidcUvdkJ4UuNjeH8-Nqof5EH1rfWU/d/IMG_20200517_151146.jpg" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgwMJGM0tL1m8BVtnonbjwOFXN-eiHRc-h9Lvx1p0wVa1Szec5TRUto8qr8klPgH-TTxE44mL5BM_GeCL7_GU_z0m2FEa7Rnq4-NAgawtbOHMYZ-l6UIonb-7vCB9FuiiDr3AhG7eFbU9c/" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Layered with Kindness stamp set; masking technique, heat emboss" border="0" data-original-height="3297" data-original-width="2594" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgwMJGM0tL1m8BVtnonbjwOFXN-eiHRc-h9Lvx1p0wVa1Szec5TRUto8qr8klPgH-TTxE44mL5BM_GeCL7_GU_z0m2FEa7Rnq4-NAgawtbOHMYZ-l6UIonb-7vCB9FuiiDr3AhG7eFbU9c/d/IMG_20200517_151050.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I love how these turned out. What's awesome about this set is is has a whole bunch of different phrases and words that you can use to customise your card for the occasion. Where I have 'you are an' stamped you could replace with 'you will do' or 'wishing you an'. For the words to substitute where I have 'friend' stamped you could replace it with 'friend', 'birthday' or things. There's also a substitute for the flowers - hearts, candles, flowers... you get my drift. It's cool because you can use one set but for many occasions. Although I decided to keep my stamps the same I wanted to do 2 very different cards. One with lots of colour and embellished. <div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDe9VJusTlsLGJmpzjtIxd3gSOhDqGWhsuLYu8sYk2EsCLFMz_KZh1Cecb0MIl3ZUjGNQ4b2Cn-Z5_3IHlAPYwya4HW35bQf3ax0iGmRp83PENpVyEpugOg6RvOPiKhqVf9MmUPR2tYxU/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Everything Amazing Stamp Set" border="0" data-original-height="1799" data-original-width="3609" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDe9VJusTlsLGJmpzjtIxd3gSOhDqGWhsuLYu8sYk2EsCLFMz_KZh1Cecb0MIl3ZUjGNQ4b2Cn-Z5_3IHlAPYwya4HW35bQf3ax0iGmRp83PENpVyEpugOg6RvOPiKhqVf9MmUPR2tYxU/d/IMG_20200517_151249.jpg" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1BqFRXch4aDw8Kha_GpS6_r3oXetkyyoy41iaLBm-5sVtyJuYh_qEOLyLTVHjHwpEpc8fRo8oayspmkszYgKwSEbkCoTLPa8iXo9wONirFc2CXpIiMJA68HZTosVpfpygf8e6-QQ-ZWU/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Everything Amazing stamp set" border="0" data-original-height="3602" data-original-width="2701" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1BqFRXch4aDw8Kha_GpS6_r3oXetkyyoy41iaLBm-5sVtyJuYh_qEOLyLTVHjHwpEpc8fRo8oayspmkszYgKwSEbkCoTLPa8iXo9wONirFc2CXpIiMJA68HZTosVpfpygf8e6-QQ-ZWU/d/IMG_20200517_151213.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">And one that is very simple - almost minimalist. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMSBpoNetYZcPLwETksBi7yePGKiCRf-udkLrg-h6RLgttW_5i39xRyAne8Inu5P5uK3roy9ZTMiV_kE3uf9KQWXLE9r8h7PXBN19aG8PSzOch4f23ACvRIEVm6BWOyKfjVBrOuqu4R-c/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Everything Amazing Stamp Set" border="0" data-original-height="1623" data-original-width="3054" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjMSBpoNetYZcPLwETksBi7yePGKiCRf-udkLrg-h6RLgttW_5i39xRyAne8Inu5P5uK3roy9ZTMiV_kE3uf9KQWXLE9r8h7PXBN19aG8PSzOch4f23ACvRIEVm6BWOyKfjVBrOuqu4R-c/d/IMG_20200517_150945.jpg" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7CqPNihK9o5wsL6_Mm-nTJ4eDdYivugVduuci2Tu_itqHMhWW8LRPJmS3FS9cDtvv9lLo7MOXc_Vgl-W9J_1ssUKatHQtcqjBkQieaW-4sEg3p0eQj8Zn0HM8CqU_0B6EAWTEY0JSqW8/" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Everything Amazing Stamp Set; Two step stamping" border="0" data-original-height="2983" data-original-width="2535" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7CqPNihK9o5wsL6_Mm-nTJ4eDdYivugVduuci2Tu_itqHMhWW8LRPJmS3FS9cDtvv9lLo7MOXc_Vgl-W9J_1ssUKatHQtcqjBkQieaW-4sEg3p0eQj8Zn0HM8CqU_0B6EAWTEY0JSqW8/d/IMG_20200517_150846.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">For me I try to always buy stamp sets that give me a lot of flexibility and allow me to craft according to my mood. My mood goes the full range from highly detailed, complicated and embellished to simple and striking. You can always add more but a great simple card is often harder to do as there's nowhere to hide the imperfections. Not everything about these cards is perfect but I do like them. I love the colour combination and I think I'm going to miss this stamp set as I retire it out at the end of the month. If you want to get your hands on it you can until June 2 - or when stocks run out. So easy. I've made a lot of cards recently. Partly because we've all had to physically distance ourselves. And partly because it's something I've been able to share with my friends. I've been bundling up packs of cards, envelopes and stamps and sharing them with women in my life who are encouragers. It's just a little way I've been trying to contribute to spread the joy in my world. </div><div><br /></div><div>Today I want to give a little shout out and thanks to all the wonderful women in my life who have my back (and I there's). Here's a little thank you card I made... using all my favourite products - Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper, and the Timeless Tropical bundle. <br />

I'm still dreaming of a tropical island holiday when COVID-19 is all over. Actually I'll just settle for a nice walk on the beach followed by a great cocktail on a sunny day.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjoQ5cR5c_WqAr7qgjN9gJaAM8Q1eDbvUr97R28Tsg9uR0t7ZUy8FEAeVPCJjJ8ZCdTxFSlLW5WK79fVCKebzNvORkBXmyhq68cCQ1lOzTGliXSQugeGcudX5m-038u34q3k-U4gUSQ3MU/s1600/IMG_20200328_104423.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="659" data-original-width="1600" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjoQ5cR5c_WqAr7qgjN9gJaAM8Q1eDbvUr97R28Tsg9uR0t7ZUy8FEAeVPCJjJ8ZCdTxFSlLW5WK79fVCKebzNvORkBXmyhq68cCQ1lOzTGliXSQugeGcudX5m-038u34q3k-U4gUSQ3MU/s1600/IMG_20200328_104423.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Here's another little card made in isolation weekend craft. While others are perfecting their sourdough and baking, I'm creating cards. Lucky I've got a few people to give them to to share the love. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihhPhp6oSV3qSnsCSWYS8YK6xRGaEopHNP-MCTJPO_IPn43_xw5Sy-cT9jqn_75rXS1qGe4JENL9a96cLEHD_J2BCnC_zdMnPsbdPPUzU7TWWbylvMajdGdnIZgL-d49DP83aoe07vVxM/s1600/IMG_20200328_104423.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1328" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihhPhp6oSV3qSnsCSWYS8YK6xRGaEopHNP-MCTJPO_IPn43_xw5Sy-cT9jqn_75rXS1qGe4JENL9a96cLEHD_J2BCnC_zdMnPsbdPPUzU7TWWbylvMajdGdnIZgL-d49DP83aoe07vVxM/s1600/IMG_20200328_104423.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This one uses pretty much the same supplies I've been using for weeks. You could stay I'm stuck in a rut or you could say I'm trapped on a tropical island. The later doesn't seem quite so bad 😉</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So for a full run down - I used the Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper and Timeless Tropical bundle. Combined with some braided burlap, and a few sentiments this card was done very quickly. It's hard to tell from the photo but the overlay of the pineapple was in gold foil card stock. It's a bit of bling without being too much.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Here's to crafting weekends that continue beyond physical distancing measures!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Happy crafting</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

Here's a birthday card using all my current favourites but with a bit of a softer side.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_VaLMo28J7XBfdy9UavnvkS3LIIFscl2iIJqkfO9l52oYehbwIt5TVr2ea7o8dANfBM5UV4gTynG1k9LCZ3zAFzzTCRAgk7SWAMnuaa2iHajU93YdmmqZ-KH6G6bni73M7Nabsl04STc/s1600/IMG_20200328_104335.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="758" data-original-width="1600" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_VaLMo28J7XBfdy9UavnvkS3LIIFscl2iIJqkfO9l52oYehbwIt5TVr2ea7o8dANfBM5UV4gTynG1k9LCZ3zAFzzTCRAgk7SWAMnuaa2iHajU93YdmmqZ-KH6G6bni73M7Nabsl04STc/s1600/IMG_20200328_104335.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I used the Timeless Tropical bundle to stamp the flowers and leaves in Saddle Brown StazOn ink before water colouring them using an aqua painter (hot tip they are retiring so buy one now!) and different ink colours. The flip side of the Tropical Oasis papers has some more muted prints and patterns which I really love. this one has flamingos and monstaria plants - 2 of my favourite things. I actually own 2 of these plants and a little pink flamingo statue! A couple of embellishments and this card was done.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3oLTdn20_XkQmhySH-0Gd839VwFfqBN_-q2wu6yP56aQ9K-q__kVOwfz7drrZRW7FXdS4Z3mJ-fkh8Kqf2tdLwBmx5sQHrGIu-X_bP1SYxylFry7V8UqegWHaTH7y8aP48HAV0cN2BqM/s1600/IMG_20200328_104335.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1370" data-original-width="1600" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3oLTdn20_XkQmhySH-0Gd839VwFfqBN_-q2wu6yP56aQ9K-q__kVOwfz7drrZRW7FXdS4Z3mJ-fkh8Kqf2tdLwBmx5sQHrGIu-X_bP1SYxylFry7V8UqegWHaTH7y8aP48HAV0cN2BqM/s1600/IMG_20200328_104335.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
It's a slightly softer version of my bright tropical cards and I really love how it turned out. Turns out I can do more than one trick when I put my mind to it 😉</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Hope you're making time to create and spread the joy in this season. A gift of a hand made, heart felt written card in the mail is a great way to share the love.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

A change of pace today. I still have a lot of cards made with the Timeless Tropical Designer Series Paper but I did want to share something a little different today.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDevMfRPuAqYJsbU9M-foElVlupP1brsIOhISiNj_jiuzTiOeozaeFadDF4PnwOepbXpidJTKVzpM_4MEfVreP5Vra3ZveXAThVIWeDQvnXAYBKS0ugOIWuBknq1KWLu8a7zlOgCMBnJg/s1600/IMG_20200405_142900.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="951" data-original-width="1600" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDevMfRPuAqYJsbU9M-foElVlupP1brsIOhISiNj_jiuzTiOeozaeFadDF4PnwOepbXpidJTKVzpM_4MEfVreP5Vra3ZveXAThVIWeDQvnXAYBKS0ugOIWuBknq1KWLu8a7zlOgCMBnJg/s1600/IMG_20200405_142900.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This card looks really complicated because of the lacy Bermuda Bay overlay but that was simple. I just used the Jubilee Beauty dies in my die cutting machine. I also used the Birthday Jubilee stamp set for the sentiment and flowers. The flowers & sentiment I heat embossed in copper and then water coloured in.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

It's bright, it's fun, it's maybe a little Moroccan inspired in the colours and textured. Another fun card to make to brighten someone's day.</div>

Who doesn't love a tropical fruit platter? And who wouldn't want to be on a beach right now with a friend catching up? Given that we can't I love how bright and cheery this card is to send a little note of love and joy to a friend.<br />

I'm still in love with Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper, and the Timeless Tropical bundle. I don't think that's going to diminish anytime soon. I just love how it makes me feel when I'm making these cards. Some of my best memories are at the beach - at every stage of my life. There's just something about these papers and stamps that make me feel that joy in sand between my toes, sun on my face and the sounds of the ocean for days. (Admit it... you just went there with me didn't you?)</div>

Just because we need to physically distance with COVID-19 doesn't mean we need to socially distance. We can be closer than ever in our hearts and relationships. So grab some crafting materials, make a card and tell someone you love what you love about them and why they are special to you. You'll both get joy out of it.<br />
<br />
Happy crafting.<br />
