Miles apart but still in my heart...

2020 has been tough. We've been sheltering in place, physical distancing and doing everything we can to stay safe, well and see this pandemic come to an end. For many of us - myself included - this has meant spending a year far away from family and friends. Even though we are far apart, this year has been the year to go deeper with relationships and really cherish what matters - the conversations we can have and the memories we share. Here's a little COVID card I made to send to someone far away to let them know that they are and always will be in my heart. I stamp and heat embossed two of the panels using copper embossing powder and the Lovely You stamp set. The middle panel I stamped with a few different coloured inks. The leaves I layered on top are from the Forever Flourishing dies . I used the Lovely Labels punch to create my layered label for my sentiment. I actually bought the Lovely You stamp set and Lovely Labels as a bundle (it's cheaper) as it goes really wel

Quick fix

Inspired by all the nice comments at work and on FB I wanted to do another project an blog it ASAP. The results are not quite to my liking as Saturday's retro effort, but it was done in less that an hour to make a quick gift. This time I wanted to use up some square cards I had lying around. I'm not fond of crafting square cards, as I struggle with something that is symmetrical. I usually prefer rectangles so I can place everything off centre. (You know - rule of thirds and all that stuff). The dimensions of the 'handbag' were adjusted to fit these cards. Also due to lack of time I just picked 3 papers from the same series. Again not my favourite colour combo - I like neutrals - but I have a friend who loves blue and green so hopefully this will be a hit. Let me know what you think.
