on the fourth day of Christmas

This card is a little old and a little new.  I've used some traditional Christmas elements of stars with some glittery gold smooch spritz to give it a bit of bling.  The colours however are non-traditional.  Very muted and modern.  Something that just gives it a little twist.

I used a retired start stamp set but you could easily do this with the Bright and Beautiful stamp set or one of the others listed below.  The stars in the background were created using ink, a sponge dauber and a mask.  I love how they created a custom background paper.

This is a card which looks like it has a lot of detail but really it's very simple - just a lot of layers to give it some texture and interest.  I'm really happy with the way it turned out.  I'm also really happy with my decision to make unique Christmas cards this year rather than just mass produce one or two designs.  It's really fun to do something different each time.  What are you doing for your Christmas cards?
